How to set it up
- Go to Local > GPB AI Agent
- Click Enable AI Agent to turn on the skills you want: AI review replies, AI posts, Photo updates
- Click Add [n] photos to use your existing Google Business Profile photos for posts, or click Skip
- Click Upload photos to add more images for both your profile and posts, or click Skip
- Click Got it to finish
Once setup is complete, you’ll see your dashboard. Automation starts immediately. From the dashboard, you can:
- Monitor GBP performance metrics such as profile views and interactions
- Review recent GBP AI Agent actions using the Recent actions list. It shows the 100 most recent actions, including published posts, review replies, and photo uploads.
- Look ahead and see exactly what the GBP AI Agent has planned for the next 2 weeks. The dashboard displays upcoming scheduled posts and image uploads.
Settings
Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner to open Settings.
From there, you can:
- Turn each automation on or off: Reply to reviews, Update photos, Publish posts
- Set how often photos are uploaded and posts are published
- Choose which reviews to auto-reply to, and the language and tone of replies
- Select the CTA button on posts and set its URL
- Edit the target keywords used for post generation
- Add post instructions to guide how GBP AI Agent writes your posts
Post instructions
To tailor the automated content to your brand voice or focus it on specific parts of your business, click Add post instructions at the bottom of the Settings panel and type your guidelines in plain text. GBP AI Agent applies them to all scheduled posts. To revert to the default posting style, delete the text from the field.
You can customize:
- Tone and style: Make posts sound more professional, casual, or enthusiastic
- Language and structure: Specify the language and character length, or ask for emojis and hashtags
- Business specifics: Focus posts on specific products, services, special offers, unique selling points, or your exact service areas

Frequently asked questions
Yes, you can edit posts in 2 ways:
- Automatically: Guide how GBP AI Agent generates content by adjusting your target keywords, setting custom Post instructions, and selecting CTA buttons
- Manually: Fine-tune posts that have already been generated before they go live - update the content, or add or delete an image
You don't need to add post instructions. By default, GBP AI Agent is trained on local SEO best practices and uses your business details and target keywords to create relevant posts. Add post instructions only if you want it to behave differently from its default settings or to highlight something specific about your business.
If you cancel, all AI automations stop. GBP AI Agent stops publishing posts, photo uploads, and review replies.
